Shipping & Logistics
Shipping & Logistics Policy
Truck Global provides end-to-end international shipping solutions for used trucks, construction machinery, agricultural equipment, and spare parts.
We understand that heavy equipment is a significant investment. Therefore, we prioritize equipment safety, cost efficiency, documentation accuracy, and transparent communication throughout the logistics process.
Our team helps coordinate the shipment from our equipment yard in China to your selected destination port, including equipment preparation, inland transportation, export documentation, port handling, loading, and shipment updates.
1. Shipping Methods
The most suitable shipping method depends on the dimensions, weight, operating condition, destination port, available shipping routes, and your budget.
Before shipment, our logistics team reviews the actual equipment specifications and recommends an appropriate shipping plan.
RORO Shipping
RORO, or Roll-on/Roll-off shipping, is commonly used for complete and operational heavy-duty trucks, agricultural tractors, loaders, and self-propelled construction machinery.
The equipment is driven directly onto and off the vessel, reducing unnecessary lifting and handling.
- Suitable for: Complete and operational vehicles or machinery
- Main advantage: Efficient handling and competitive freight costs
- Important consideration: Availability depends on the shipping route and destination port
Container Shipping
Container shipping is suitable for smaller machines, spare parts, attachments, and equipment that can be safely partially disassembled.
The enclosed container provides additional protection against environmental exposure during ocean transit.
- Suitable for: Smaller machinery, spare parts, and partially disassembled units
- Main advantage: Enclosed protection during transportation
- Important consideration: The equipment must comply with container size and weight limits
Dismantling and Container Loading
For oversized machinery, our technical team can evaluate whether selected components can be safely removed so the equipment can fit into a standard or high-cube container.
This method may reduce ocean freight costs compared with shipping the equipment as oversized cargo.
- Suitable for: Machinery exceeding standard container dimensions
- Main advantage: Potentially lower shipping costs
- Available support: Disassembly photos, loading records, and reassembly references
2. One-Stop Export Service
International equipment shipping involves more than moving a machine to the port. Our team coordinates the main export and logistics procedures required for departure from China.
Export Documentation
We assist with the applicable export filings, customs documents, packing information, commercial documents, and vehicle-related export procedures.
Inland Transportation and Port Handling
Our team coordinates transportation from the equipment yard to the departure port, including port entry, storage, customs preparation, and loading arrangements.
Equipment Preparation
Before shipment, the equipment is prepared according to the selected shipping method. This may include cleaning, securing loose components, checking visible leaks, protecting vulnerable parts, or dismantling selected components.
Loading Transparency
We provide available photos, videos, and documents showing the equipment preparation and loading process.
For dismantled equipment, we can also provide records of the removed components and their placement inside the container.
3. Shipping Process
- Confirm the equipment and destination. Provide the selected product, quantity, destination country, and preferred destination port.
- Select the shipping method. We compare the available RORO, container, dismantling, or other suitable shipping options.
- Prepare the equipment and documents. The equipment is inspected, prepared for transportation, and matched with the required export documentation.
- Transport the equipment to the port. Our team coordinates inland transportation, port entry, customs procedures, and loading preparation.
- Load the equipment and confirm vessel departure. Available loading records and shipment information are provided after the vessel departs.
- Monitor the shipment. We provide available vessel and estimated arrival updates until the shipment reaches the destination port.
4. Transit Time and Shipment Updates
Estimated Transit Time
Ocean transit commonly takes approximately 25 to 45 days, depending on the departure port, destination port, shipping method, vessel route, and transshipment arrangements.
Additional time may be required for equipment preparation, inland transportation, customs procedures, port handling, and vessel scheduling.
Shipment Updates
Our team monitors available shipment information and provides updates related to loading, vessel departure, current shipping status, and the estimated arrival time.
5. Equipment Inspection and Shipping Preparation
Before shipment, every unit undergoes a structured inspection and preparation process based on the equipment type and condition.
Our standard inspection covers more than 50 mechanical, operational, visual, and safety-related points where applicable.
- Engine and operating-condition review
- Visible oil, fuel, coolant, and hydraulic leakage check
- Brake, tire, steering, and movement assessment
- Cabin, electrical system, and dashboard review
- Loose component and attachment inspection
- Visible structural damage check
- Photo and video condition documentation
- Loading-readiness confirmation
Inspection and preparation help reduce avoidable shipping risks, but they do not replace marine cargo insurance.
6. Marine Cargo Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing marine cargo insurance for international shipments of trucks, machinery, and other high-value equipment.
Insurance coverage, deductibles, exclusions, claim procedures, and compensation limits depend on the selected insurance provider and policy.
When insurance is purchased, our team can assist with preparing available supporting documents, including:
- Commercial invoice
- Packing list
- Equipment inspection records
- Equipment photos and videos
- Loading photos
- Shipping documents
- Equipment model and serial-number information
7. Information Required for a Shipping Quote
To prepare an accurate logistics quotation, please provide the following information:
- Equipment name, model, quantity, or product-page link
- Destination country
- Preferred destination port
- Preferred shipping method, when already known
- Required project or delivery schedule
- Whether marine cargo insurance is required
- Any special import or documentation requirements
Freight costs are affected by equipment dimensions, equipment weight, port location, vessel schedule, fuel costs, seasonal demand, and current shipping-market conditions.
Therefore, shipping quotations are normally valid for a limited period and may require reconfirmation before booking.
8. Destination-Port Responsibilities
Unless otherwise stated in the quotation or sales agreement, the buyer is responsible for destination-country import procedures and charges, including:
- Import permits and local regulatory approvals
- Destination customs clearance
- Import duties and taxes
- Destination-port handling charges
- Storage or demurrage charges caused by delayed clearance
- Local inland transportation after arrival
- Local registration or equipment certification requirements
Buyers should confirm local import requirements before purchasing and shipping equipment.
9. Our Commitment
Our goal is to make international equipment shipping more manageable, transparent, and efficient.
From selecting the shipping method to preparing documents and recording the loading process, Truck Global provides practical support throughout the export journey.
Final shipping arrangements, estimated delivery periods, costs, and responsibilities will be confirmed in the applicable quotation, proforma invoice, or sales agreement.
